New park opened in 2004, family owned and operated business located just 1 mile from the Parks & Glenn Highway interchange. Take Trunk or Hyer Road exit from the Parks onto Fireweed Road. Turn onto Church Street behind Quality Moving & Storage, and follow the road to Big Bear Campground. Sorry for the construction on the Parks Highway, but it is worth it for this is the campground to be at. Clean friendly and convenient for trips to Hatcher Pass and the Iditarod Headquarters. Big Bear Campground & RV Park is open year round to serve you. Just 2.5 miles from Wasilla Wal-Mart on newly completed frontage road, Fireweed Road, and Good Sam Park.
